The Loch Ness 360
Scotland's newest long distance trail is destined to become one of the country's most popular challenges for walkers and cyclists. It not only has the advantage of being a circular route with an unlimited choice of starting points and no return transport requirements once completed but it also, for the first time, provides a dedicated network of paths to complete a full circuit of one of the most famous lakes on the planet, Loch Ness, on foot or on two wheels.
The Loch Ness 360 combines the north-eastern half of The Great Glen Way (between Fort Augustus and Inverness) with the newly opened South Loch Ness Trail (completed 2018) to make it possible to enjoy a 360 degree hike of the loch while avoiding public roads most of the way.
